A New Jersey woman was arrested on Monday after state troopers caught her driving a stolen BMW with forged license plates on Interstate 295.
Troopers from Troop NYC, SP Bronx, were patrolling southbound on Interstate 295 at Exit 9 when they noticed a white BMW 330e Series committing multiple traffic offenses.
The automobile was driven by Xazeria White, 20, of Neptune, New Jersey.
After conducting a traffic stop in Bronx County, authorities discovered that the BMW had fabricated temporary New Jersey license plates and had been reported stolen from North Brunswick, New Jersey.
White was arrested and taken to the NYPD’s 45th Precinct.
She was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, a class E felony; second-degree possession of a forged instrument, a class D felony; and third-degree unauthorized use of a vehicle, a class A misdemeanor.
White also faces a number of car and driving charges.
She was sent to Bronx Central Booking for arraignment.
