Warrant suspect apprehended in Natrona Heights Sheldon Park

Harrison Township, Pa. – Police in Harrison Township, along with assistance from Brackenridge, Tarentum and East Deer Police apprehended a warrant suspect out of Pittsburgh just after 1:00 am Monday morning.

Police surrounded the county housing building in the 100 block of Park Avenue in Harrison’s Sheldon Park after tracking down a van for a reported domestic incident in Pittsburgh. Harrison Police Sgt. Josh Acre said the license plate numbers reported to them had one wrong digit but were able to figure out the correct number locating the van. A short time later, roughly 35-40 minutes, the suspect came down the steps in the apartment and was taken into custody.

Arrested was Loren Calhoun, age 36 of Pittsburgh. Calhoun faces charges out of Pittsburgh Police for F1 Burglary – Overnight Accommodations; Person Present, Bodily Injury Crime 07/07/2019, M2 SIMPLE ASSAULT, M2 RECKLESSLY ENDANGERING ANOTHER PERSON and M2 CRIMINAL MISCHIEF.

In a separate incident from April 23, 2019, Calhoun faces charges of F1 KIDNAPPING, F2 STRANGULATION, F2 CRIMINAL TRESPASS, M1 TERRORISTIC THREATS, M2 SIMPLE ASSAULT, M2 CRIMINAL MISCHIEF and S HARASSMENT.

Calhoun was transported back to the city by Pittsburgh Police about 2:30 am.
