A Wyoming woman with active warrants was arrested Friday afternoon in Swan Valley after attempting to flee from deputies in a camper.
Just before 2 p.m. that day, a deputy was aiding with another matter at an RV park in the 3400 East block of Swan Valley Highway when he spotted a girl acting suspiciously and attempting to escape him.
As the deputy approached her to make contact, she entered a guarded area and vanished near an RV campsite. At the same moment, the owner of the camper came and informed deputies that no one was supposed to be inside.
With the owner’s assistance, deputies entered the camper and discovered 33-year-old Alisa Jean Gimlin sitting on the couch. Gimlin gave deputies a fake name and claimed to have permission to be there; however, when deputies discovered her name and information were false, she attempted to push past them.
Gimlin began cursing and fighting with deputies, attempting to obtain a knife from her pocket before being handcuffed and placed in a patrol car.
Deputies discovered Gimlin had an active misdemeanor warrant for failure to appear out of Idaho Falls and a felony warrant out of Lincoln County, Wyoming. Gimlin was transferred to the Bonneville County Jail, where she was detained for outstanding warrants. Gimlin was also booked into jail on misdemeanor charges of illegal entry, providing false information to a peace officer, and resisting arrest.
