A Valley lottery player hit a $2.9 million jackpot over the weekend.
A ticket for The Pick from the Safeway on Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard and Thompson Peak Parkway matched all six numbers in Saturday’s drawing, winning the top prize.
The winning numbers were 22, 26, 31, 34, 35, and 36. It was the game’s first jackpot since February 3, when the prize was $1 million.
The Pick is an Arizona Lottery game with drawings occurring on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays. Entries are $1 each and can be purchased at over 3,000 businesses throughout the state.
The top reward will be $1 million in the next drawing, which will be held on Monday.
The odds of winning the game’s jackpot are approximately 1 in 7 million.
