Harmar, Allegheny County – On October 1st, around 4:08 PM, County 9-1-1 received a call reporting a fight at the Valley Motel located at 2571 Freeport road in Harmar Township. Police located four people on scene. Three people were transported to area hospitals with varying degrees of injuries. A 33-year-old man had a stab wound to the abdomen, a 38-year-old man had multiple lacerations, and a 56-year-old man had a broken hand. The 33-year-old man remained in critical condition at last check.
County Police were requested to investigate. Although the investigation is still ongoing, some information is available. It was learned that the 38-year-old man and his 36-year-old girlfriend were staying at the Valley Motel. An argument ensued over the telephone between the couple and her father, 56, and brother, 33. The father and brother came to the motel and confronted the boyfriend in the couple’s room. At that time a fight occurred and a knife was introduced, causing the stab wounds and lacerations.
The facts and circumstances that were learned on October 1st, were presented to the Allegheny County District Attorney’s Office. The office recommended not filing charges against any party at this time. There is no update on victim conditions.
