Two teenage girls killed in Interstate 80 car crash

Mercer County, Pa. – Multiple news sources are reporting two teenage girls were killed about 6:45 pm Sunday evening after the vehicle they were riding in slid into the path of a tractor-trailer on Interstate 80.

Both victims died from blunt force injuries and were declared dead at the scene at 7:20 pm, according to the Mercer County Coroner. Two other girls also sustained critical injuries and were transferred to a Pittsburgh trauma center.

The vehicle was traveling eastbound on I80 when the driver lost control due to weather conditions, which were horrendous, according to the coroner.
