Suspect arrested in Kenva Alley shooting in Arnold

Arnold, Pa. – A Pittsburgh man was arrested Monday night accused in the Arnold shooting of Gregory Ray Wynkoop, 35, of East Franklin Township.

Authorities identified the alleged shooter as 32 year-old Allen Herring. Herring was arrested Monday evening after authorities utilized bloodhounds and a helicopter to apprehend the suspect. Wynkoop was shot in Kenva Alley about 6:30 pm after a report of shots fired and a possible vehicle into a house. Sources reported the vehicle was removed from underneath a carport. Evidence markers were seen placed in the back yard of a house along Woodmont Avenue.
