The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit has identified and charged a man in connection with a double deadly shooting on Friday night. The suspect is Temple Hills resident Marc Carter, 31. He is charged with the murders of Antonio Magruder, 32, of District Heights, and Darrell Mason, 56, of Suitland.
On March 28, 2025, at around 10:30 p.m., cops responded to a shooting in the 4000 block of Silver Hill Road. Officers discovered Magruder inside a business with a gunshot wound. They pronounced him deceased at the scene. Mason was found inside a vehicle with a gunshot wound. He died a short while later in the hospital. A third individual also sustained gunshot injuries. His injuries are not deemed life-threatening.
The motive for the shooting is still being investigated. According to the early inquiry, one of the victims knew Carter.
Carter faces two counts of first and second-degree murder, as well as multiple other accusations. He is in the custody of the Department of Corrections on no bond.
