South Buffalo firefighters-State Police search for missing man near Slate Lick

Slate Lick, Pa. – Armstrong County – Pennsylvania State Police in Kittanning are searching for a missing and endangered 70-year-old man who was last seen on Dec. 25 on Cadogen Slate Lick Road in South Buffalo Township, Armstrong County, around 11:30 p.m.

The missing man is identified as Kenneth Himes who is is 6 feet 2 inches tall, weighs 140 pounds, has short light brown and gray hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a black winter coat, a black winter hat and black pants. Himes suffers from dementia.

Firefighters from several communities have been searching with ATV’s, blood hounds and helicopters in an effort to locate Mr. Himes. Divers have been called to the scene.

Anyone with information should contact police immediately.
