Snow blankets the area, but only 37 days to spring!

Alle-Kiski Valley, Pa. – Several fire companies responded to vehicle crashes along with downed trees and wires after the area was blanketed with a fresh coat of snow staring Sunday and continuing through the early morning hours on Monday. Weather forecasters are cautioning drivers to be aware of snow covered roadways for the Monday morning rush.

AKVNEWS.COM spoke with local police who stated the local roadways were mostly wet but side streets and alleyways were mostly snow covered.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for east central Ohio, southwest Pennsylvania, western Pennsylvania, northern West Virginia and northern panhandle of West Virginia.

Snow accumulations between one and two inches tonight could make travel more difficult on roadways.

A brief potential for freezing rain is possible early Monday, mainly south of Interstate 70. Locally heavy rainfall Monday night through Tuesday could result in localized flooding.
