Police-FBI investigate armed robbery in Brackenidge

Brackenridge, Pa. – Police in Brackenridge and Tarentum are investigating an armed robbery at the Allegheny Ludlum Brackenridge Federal Credit Union that occurred about 3:00 pm Wednesday afternoon.

Brackenridge Police Chief Justin McIntire said a male was wearing a hoodie at the time of the robbery. Several people tried to enter the front of the building but were turned away with a sign that said, “closed for an emergency”.

No information was immediately available as to the suspect’s path or method of flight or the amount of cash taken.

Chief McIntire also said the FBI was called in to investigate the robbery. No injuries were reported.
