PA State Trooper arrested after alleged threat with a gun

Plum, Pa. – Police in Plum Borough arrested a Pennsylvania State Trooper following a domestic incident after he allegedly threatened his wife with her own gun at their Plum Borough home Monday morning.

According to the police criminal complaint, Scott Richard Mang is charged with felony aggravated assault and a host of misdemeanor charges after Mang broke several doors from their hinges after the victim locked herself in the bedroom stating she would call 911.

Mang allegedly took a Glock 19 from the nightstand and told the victim if she called 911 they would both be dead. Mang’s wife ran to a neighboring home to call 911, according to the complaint.

Police say Man was at the entryway of the home when police arrived and was taken into custody without incident. A Preliminary Hearing is scheduled @ 01/30/2019 9:00 am Courtroom: MDJ-05-2-32 before the Honorable Magisterial District Judge Linda Inez Zucco.

Mang Charges: F2 AGGRAVATED ASSAULT, M1 TERRORISTIC THREATS, M1 UNLAWFUL RESTRAINT, M2 SIMPLE ASSAULT, M2 RECKLESSLY ENDANGERING ANOTHER PERSON, M2 FALSE IMPRISONMENT and a summary charge of HARASSMENT.
