One transported after vehicle vs. pedestrian incident in New Kensington

New Kensington, Pa. – Police and EMS, along with New Kensington Fire Chief Ed Saliba Jr. responded to the intersection of 5th Avenue and 10th Street after a vehicle vs. pedestrian incident that resulted in one person being transported to Allegheny Valley Hospital.

The incident occurred just before 11:00 am. EMS crews loaded the patient onto a gurney and left the scene non-emergency. The intersection was tied up for approximately 1/2 hour. The extent of injuries is unknown to the pedestrian. The driver was uninjured.

Police cleared the scene at approximately 11:10 am.
