New Kensington, Pa. – Police in New Kensington along with Westmoreland County detectives were on the scene of an apparent “shots fired” incident just before 2:00 pm at the corner of Kenneth Avenue and North Street.

Police blocked North Street with crime scene tape between Kenneth Avenue and Leishman Avenue after several pieces of evidence were located. A worker in the area told AKVNEWS.COM two males were shouting at each other prior to shots being fired. The witness said a white car near Vine Alley is where one of the suspects was located at the time of the yelling/shooting while the other individual was on a front porch.

While on scene, one male individual was in handcuffs and transported from one New Kensington unit to another, and then that unit left the scene, destination unknown. It was not immediately known if the male who was near Vine Alley was injured and his whereabouts were unknown.
