New Kensington man faces felony charges after spraying victim with bug spray in face

New Kensington, Pa. – The victim of a bug spraying incident did not want to file charges after being sprayed in the face with Raid bug spray by her ex-boyfriend who lives in New Kensington.

According to the complaint, the victim called police, then hung up after the victim was assaulted in her residence in the 1200 block of Leishman Avenue. The victim stated the male made duplicate keys to her new residence and her vehicle and frequently stole her vehicle.

EMS was summoned to the scene however the victim refused treatment. New Kensington Police Officer Martino was familiar with the ex-boyfriend identified as Bayley Jones, age 20 of New Kensington. During the investigation, the victim told police Jones chocked her until she became unconscious.

Jones charges from the previous chocking incident: F1 Aggravated Assault 02/23/2019, F1 Burglary – Overnight Accommodations; Person Present, Bodily Injury Crime and 2 counts of M1 Simple Assault, 1 count of M2 Simple Assault.

This incident: F1 Aggravated Assault 04/02/2019 and M2 Recklessly Endangering Another Person. Jones currently resides in the Westmoreland County Jail in lieu of $25,000 unsecured bail.

A Preliminary Hearing is scheduled on 05/09/2019 @ 1:15 pm Magisterial District Judge Frank J. Pallone Jr.
