New Kensington man charged with “shots fired” incident in Arnold

Arnold, Pa. – A New Kensington was identified and arrested in a “shots fired” incident on June 26th, 2019 in the 1700 block of Cherry Alley after an anonymous male positively identified the suspect.

Arrested and charged in the incident was William Walters, age 26 of Carl Avenue in New Kensington. Walters fit the description given by the anonymous male wearing a blue bandana around his head with a blue beater t-shirt and khaki shorts.

Arnold police were able to locate 6 Hornaday 9mm brass casings laying the middle of the alley. While searching for additional evidence, police were able to locate additional information to identify Walters as the shooter. Walters allegedly shot multiple times in the air and continued to walk North in the alley eluding police.

Walters was charged with F2 Possession Of Firearm Prohibited 06/26/2019, F3 Firearms Not To Be Carried W/O License and M2 Recklessly Endangering Another Person.

A Preliminary Hearing is scheduled on 07/11/2019 @ 10:00 am before the Honorable Magisterial District Judge Frank J. Pallone Jr. Monetary bail was set at $25,000.
