Narcotics investigation nets drugs, cash and guns

On Friday, October 4, 2019, at approximately 11:55 a.m., Narcotics detectives with the Allegheny County Police Department, in conjunction with the Allegheny County District Attorney’s Narcotics Enforcement Team (D.A.N.E.T.), executed a search warrant at 233 First Street in Braddock. Detectives had obtained a search warrant for the residence as the result of a multi-month narcotics investigation initiated in March 2019.

The following items were seized during the search: .45 caliber handgun (reported stolen out of Oakmont); .45 caliber ammunition; bullet-proof ballistic vest; 10 lbs. of marijuana; packaging material for marijuana distribution; $26,656.00 in cash; 1,871 MDMA (ecstasy) tablets; ½ ounce of MDMA powder; THC oil; numerous pre-rolled hashish cigars; 11 grams of THC wax; numerous THC vape cartridges; and oxycodone pills.

Two adult males were arrested on scene. Dontae Jackson was charged with felony possession with intent to deliver, felony manufacturing, carrying a firearm without a license, receiving stolen property, and endangering the welfare of a child. Melvin McCane was charged with felony possession with intent to deliver. Both Jackson & McCane were transported to the Allegheny County Jail to await preliminary arraignments.
