Mount Pleasant man dies after motorcycle crash on July 4th

Hempfield Township, Pa. – Westmoreland County Coroner Ken Bacha released the following information after a man dies from his injuries sustained in a motorcycle crash at 283 Brinker Road in Hempfield Township on July 4th @ 8:53 pm.

Coroner Bacha said Tacoma A. Miller, a 25 y/o male from West Main Street in Mount Pleasant Borough was the operator and lone occupant of a 2005, Honda motorcycle, traveling east
on Brinker Road.

Authorities said the decedent left the south side of the roadway and struck a tree causing Blunt Force Trauma to the Chest.

Deputy Coroner Jonathon W. Jenkins pronounced the decedent dead at the scene as speed is believed to be a factor in the incident. The decedent was utilizing a helmet at the time of the incident. The Manner of Death was ruled Accidental.

Pennsylvania State Police Greensburg Barracks also investigated.
