Man shot in the hip in Arnold; suspect/s on the run

Arnold, Pa. – Police in Arnold along with Westmoreland County Detectives are investigating a shooting in the 1600 block of Woodbine Alley Sunday evening.

Arnold Police Chief Eric Doutt told AKVNEWS.COM a white male was shot in the hip and transported to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh after a possible drug deal to purchase marijuana went bad.

Chief Doutt said 2 white males from the Delmont/Export area were directed by an unknown white female in the 1600 block of Victoria Avenue to the 1600 block of Woodbine Alley to meet up with two males; subsequently encountering two black males.

After the shooting, the two black males then fled the scene in a newer Red SUV. No shell casings were found at the scene. No suspects have been located in this incident. AKVNEWS.COM will update this story as more details become available.
