Man flown from Citizens Hose landing zone after industrial accident

Harrison Township, Pa. – Police and Paramedics from Harrison Township responded to an area near #10 Gate in Natrona about 9:00 am Wednesday morning after a male was struck by a coil on a jobsite.

Once located inside the plant, paramedics put a helicopter on stand-by after reports the man was hit in the head with the coil suffering a laceration. The male was transported to the Burtner Road lading zone adjacent to the Citizens Hose Fire and EMS emergency response complex.

StatMedivac arrived on the scene approximately 11 minutes after dispatch. Flight crews made their way to the EMS truck for patient evaluation and packaging. The male was sitting upright on the stretcher with a neck collar attached and he was wheeled to the awaiting helicopter. The extent of his injuries was unknown.
