Male transported to hospital after police pursuit in Vandergrift-Kiski Twp

Kiski Township, Pa. – One male is transported to the hospital after a vehicle chase that ended along Sugar Hollow Road in Kiski Township.

The operator failed to stop for Vandergrift police and fled near Linden Street and the by-pass in Vandergrift. Suspect fled across Vandergrift Bridge towards Locust Grove and Sugar Hollow Road. Spike sticks were deployed in the chase.

Multiple police units from the surrounding areas responded to the incident. According to radio reports, the male suspect bailed near the 1000 block of Sugar Hollow Road and was apprehended behind a mobile home.

The suspect was being transported to Allegheny Valley Hospital for a reported injury.

It was not immediately known why the chase was initiated.
