Harrison Township, Pa. – A Harrison Township woman was uninjured after the vehicle she was driving struck a retaining wall causing the black Fiat she was driving to flip on its side in the middle of 6th Street just before noon on Wednesday.

The local woman was pinned in the vehicle requiring 167 Citizens Hose to cut the front windshield and remove her from the vehicle. The elderly woman was more or less pinned up against the front windshield after the vehicle flipped on its side.

Crews rescued the woman in a short amount of time and she walked a bit shaken on her own power to a Harrison Police unit to rest refusing any treatment from EMS crews. It was not immediately known what caused the crash but damages to her vehicle and a retaining wall were moderate. Pieces of the retaining wall rolled up 6th Street more than 150′ from the crash.

The vehicle was put back on all 4 wheels by firefighters, police and EMS personnel.
