In a recent crackdown on drug trafficking in Everett, Massachusetts, the Everett Police Department’s Special Criminal Investigations Unit has made substantial progress, arresting one Kenny Capais for both drug trafficking and possession of ammunition. Capais’s home on Commandants Way in Chelsea, which had been under observation for 48 hours, became the focus of various search warrants issued by the Chelsea district court.
According to a social media post from the Everett Police Department, the man was charged with “trafficking cocaine over 18 grams and possession of ammunition.” The successful operation also resulted in the confiscation of around $170,000 in cash, as well as materials related to narcotics distribution. The initiatives brought together extensive interdepartmental cooperation across jurisdictions, with support from the Salem Police Department and personnel from the EPD patrol division.
Following the raid yesterday, the Everett Police Department took to social media to showcase the fundamental teamwork required for these complicated operations. “Just another example of the teamwork that is needed to conduct these complex drug investigations,” complimented the police force, extending gratitude to the EPD narcotics unit, patrol division, and the DEA for a job well done by the Salem Police Department.
Investigators, who were on standby around the clock, methodically planned the execution of these critical warrants, reaffirming their commitment to bringing an end to the persistent plague of narcotics trafficking. As the Everett Police Department puts it, “Investigators have been working diligently around the clock for the past 48 hours with the help of the Salem Police Department and officers from the EPD patrol division in order to secure these outcomes.”
