Defendants arraigned in New Kensington drug bust

New Kensington, Pa. – A preliminary arraignment was held in the Magisterial District Court of Judge Frank Pallone Jr. just after noon on Thursday as two defendants appeared to face charges following an early morning drug bust on North Street in New Kensington.

Defendants Charles Jones, age 40 of New Kensington and Dandre Thornton, age 19 of Duquesne, Pa. were charged with (F) Manufacture, Delivery, or Possession With Intent to
Manufacture or Deliver 05/30/2019, M Int Poss Controlled Substance By Per Not Reg, M Use/Poss Of Drug Paraphernalia and F1 Possession Of Firearm Prohibited. Thornton was not charged in the gun violation.

Bail was set for both defendants @ $100,000 straight bond. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 06/13/2019 @ 2:00 pm before the Honorable Magisterial District Judge Frank J. Pallone Jr.
