Harrison Township, Pa. – Harrison Township Police along with Citizens Hose Fire crews responded to the expressway this afternoon after a report of a vehicle crash on the Southbound side of the roadway with 3 patients needing to be transported for medical care or evaluation.

AKVNEWS sources said the incident apparently occurred when a southbound drive was passed by another driver when the operator lost control of the vehicle and hit the wire rope guide rails causing severe damages to the vehicle.

Southbound traffic flow was controlled by Citizens Hose FD while the Pennsylvania State Police investigated the incident. The other vehicle that passed the victim’s vehicle continued down the roadway, possibly not knowing of the crash or fled the scene.

Transports were provided by City Hose EMS and Eureka EMS.
