Frazer, Pa. – Re-construction of the Butler Logan Road Bridge is in full swing near the Pittsburgh Mills Mall Wednesday morning as crews have removed the bridge decking and are working to replace just one lane at a time forcing motorists to yield to single lane restrictions.
The bridge carries approximately 1,800 vehicles per day and is routinely used to access the Pittsburgh Mills mall entrance that serves Dick’s Sporting Good, the Cinemark Movie theater and pedestrian entrances on the back side of the mall.
The construction is expected to force lane restrictions for the spring and summertime, possibly to be completed by the end of September. There has been no restrictions for buses or trucks utilizing Butler Logan Road.
