Burglar tampers with lock and door handle in Arnold; takes 65″ TV

Arnold, Pa. – Police in Arnold arrested a man from Avonmore after allegedly entering a residence and carrying a 65″ TV down a front sidewalk in early June – 2019.

According to the criminal complaint, Arnold Police were dispatched to the 1300 block of 5th Avenue just before midnight to take a burglary report. The complainant said she returned home from work and noticed the TV was missing. The victim showed police the back door evidence of the handle and lock had been tampered with.

Police said the investigation revealed that a witness viewed the actor, later identified as Devon Bayne, age 27 of Avonmore was seen carrying the TV by the front sidewalk of the residence. Surveillance video was also obtained and revealed Bayne was the actor.

In a previous foot pursuit incident in Arnold on 8-4-2019, Bayne faces charges of flight from police and drug charges.

Bayne currently resides in the Westmoreland County Jail unable to post bail.
