Arnold woman faces Felony 1 assault charge

Arnold, Pa. – Police in Arnold responded to 1735 4th Avenue after a female was assaulted in connection with a babysitting incident.

According to the criminal complaint, the victim was watching a child, when the child’s mother failed to return home and left the child in the care of the suspect’s boyfriend. The victim then went to meet another person at a bar when the suspect, identified at 21 year-old Tameka Petty pulled up in a white sedan and began hitting the victim. The victim told police that Petty hit her with the door at the bar and continued to strike her in the face. *It should be noted this incident did not occur inside the bar. (5-31-2019)

Petty then fled back into the vehicle and drove off. The victim was transported to Allegheny Valley Hospital for multiple contusions, a laceration to the left side of her skull, along with other injuries from the assault.

Petty faces Felony 1 Aggravated Assault charge 04/29/2019 and a M3 Harassment – Subject Other to Physical Contact charge. Petty faces a Preliminary Hearing on 06/13/2019 @ 10:00 am before the Honorable Magisterial District Judge Frank J. Pallone Jr.

She was released on $7500 unsecured bail.
