Arnold, Pa. – An Arnold man appeared uninjured after being rescued from his vehicle near the intersection of Camp Avenue and Earl Avenue about 6:30 pm Tuesday evening.

It was not immediately known how the vehicle ended up in the front yard of an unoccupied residence, however the drivers side rear of the vehicle was nearly over a small hillside separating two adjoining properties. The man was lucky the vehicle stopped where it did, any further and the SUV would have rolled over into a lower yard.

The driver was unable to exit his vehicle due to a medical condition that required a physical rescue by Arnold firefighters. The rear of the vehicle was stabilized while crews worked to remove the man from SUV. The man was gently lowered into a sling and stokes basket, then carried up a short grade to the sidewalk where he was loaded into an Emergency Medical Evacuation Stair Chair and wheeled to an awaiting EMS truck.

Tow crews from Elias Towing of Arnold removed the vehicle from the front yard. No injuries were reported in the incident. Assisting Arnold Police were NKPD and New Kensington EMS personnel.
