Allegheny County Police Narcotics Detectives seize 5567 bags of heroin/fentanyl

McKeesport, Allegheny County – During the early morning hours of Friday, November 1, 2019, Allegheny County Police Narcotics Detectives, working in conjunction with the Allegheny County District Attorney’s Narcotics Enforcement Team (D.A.N.E.T.), the McKeesport Police Department, and the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms executed a search warrant at 603 Yester Square, McKeesport, PA, a residence located within the Crawford Village Housing Complex of McKeesport. Detectives obtained a search warrant for the residence as the result of a narcotics investigation targeting heroin trafficking within the City of McKeesport.

The following items of evidence were seized during a search of the residence:

More than 111 bricks of heroin/fentanyl (5567 individual stamp bags), a loaded 9mm semi-automatic handgun, and approximately $700 in cash. The retail street value of the heroin is $33,402.00.

One adult male and one adult female were arrested on scene, identified as Tyjior BROWN and Camille PRUITT. Both Brown and Pruit were charged with felony possession with intent to deliver heroin/fentanyl and criminal conspiracy. Pruitt was also charged with endangering the welfare of children. The 9mm handgun was recovered on the bathroom sink of the residence and was openly accessible to three juvenile children within the residence. The weapon had a loaded magazine and a round in the chamber. Both Brown and Pruitt were lodged in the Allegheny County Jail to await preliminary arraignments.
