A Powell woman is in jail after allegedly asking a student to kill her husband for $2,000.
Stephanie Demetrius, 44, has been charged with conspiracy, a first-degree felony.
According to Franklin County Municipal Court documents, on March 26, Demetrius addressed a student at the Academy for Urban Scholars High School, 1808 E. Broad St., about killing her spouse.
The student received $250 as a down payment.
Records show that Demetrius told the student over the phone that the outstanding amount was not a problem.
According to court records, Demetrius recorded when the children left her husband’s house and that he worked from home.
Demetrius was in court on Thursday morning. Franklin County Jail is holding her.
