4 Year-old autistic child found safe after wondering from home in Harrison

Harrison Township, Pa. – Police in Harrison Township, along with Harrison Hills fire department were dispatched to the 2800 block of Esquire Drive late Monday night after a 4 year-old autistic child wondered away from home.

Harrison Police immediately began a search of the area with the assistance of Springdale Township Police Chief and K-9 handler Mike Naviglia. Chief Naviglia said when he responded to the area to help, he passed up Esquire Drive located off Saxonburg Road and proceeded to Dlubak Glass to turn around when his headlights caught the child near a bush and trampoline approximately 10′ from Little Bull Creek.

Citizens Hose EMS was dispatched to the scene for an evaluation of the child. The child was not injured.
