Washington Township/Vandergrift Boro, Pa. – Two people were injured after fleeing a traffic stop in Washington Township early Thursday morning that resulted in a roll-over crash in Vandergrift Borough.
Police on scene said the vehicle overturned while rounding a bend at an unsafe speed in the 1100 block of Hancock Avenue about 1:30 am. Sources said the driver, Francis Evans, age 40 and his passenger Abbey Hudspath, age 19 were able to get out of the vehicle as it lay on it’s side.
Evans attempted to leave the scene and was tased by police. Both individuals suffered minor injuries and were transported to a hospital for medical treatment. As of 12:50 pm Thursday, no charges have been filed.
