1 transported to the hospital after ATV incident near Harrison Township

Harrison Township, Pa. – Harrison Township Police and fire units responded to an area off Exit 15 at approximately 1:30 pm Sunday afternoon after 1 person was injured in an ATV accident.

Citizens Hose 167 Rescue and 110 Ems were dispatched to a field in the area of Route 28 and Burtner road for the ATV accident. Station 169 units (Harrison Hills) made contact with the patient a few hundred yards back from the main road with no vehicle access. Station # 160 was requested for their UTV for extrication. The patient was packaged and extricated by 167 and 169 personnel and transported by ground to a local hospital.

A second man involved in the incident refused medical treatment. Pennsylvania State Police from Kittanning will handle the investigation. Assisting Harrison Township in the incident was Eureka Fire Rescue EMS.
