A Portsmouth man died Wednesday after a motorcycle crash on State Route 73, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Troopers identified the victim as Joshua Lee Maxie, 48, of Portsmouth.

According to authorities, the crash occurred shortly before 2:45 p.m. near milepost 14.
According to investigators, Maxie was going west when his motorcycle went off the left side of the road and collided with a guardrail.
He was taken to the Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth, where he eventually died.
The crash is still under investigation.
