New Kensington-Arnold, Pa. – Students from Valley High School took part in a fall clean-up project Saturday morning by clearing trash and rubbish from the railroad tracks that run through the Cities of Arnold and New Kensington.

Students walked the tracks picking up wind-blown plastic bags, plastic bottles, paper, car parts, paper and even a shopping cart that virtually filled a dump truck provided by the City of New Kensington Department of Public Works.

It’s an area that always seems to need looked after said one local resident. The kids are doing a great job to help keep the area clean and we certainly appreciate their hard work.

Photos from the project can be seen at Valley Students make a difference!
