Tarentum fire crews called to Expressway for vehicle crash

Tarentum, Pa. – One man is injured and transported to Allegheny Valley hospital after a vehicle crash on the Southbound side of the Allegheny Valley Expressway at Exit 14 Saturday evening.

Fire units from Tarentum responded after radio reports of heavy debris and fluids on the roadway. Eureka EMS transported a 20 year-old male with a leg injury. Southbound traffic was slowed through the area with firefighters setting flares to move traffic into a single lane past the crash scene. State Police Kittanning was on-scene as well as local tow crews. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
