Story of the night-day equals crashes and falls

Alle-Kiski Valley – Snowfall amounts in the 2-4″ range caused several falls and crashes in the A-K Valley overnight and during the day on Saturday as temperatures are expected to dip even lower over the next few days.

Harrison Township: Police were called for a man down, possibly intoxicated. Sources reported the man was transported to the hospital. Westmoreland and Allegheny County reported several falls during the day due to icy conditions.

Crash Events:

Harrison Township Police responded to the BP Gas Station on SR 908 in Fawn Township after a vehicle was reported to be in a pond near Cedar Hollow Convenience. Radio reports indicated one person at the scene unknown injuries – front end of vehicle only into the pond.

East Deer Township in the 500 block of Crawford Run Road – Caller reported a hand injury while at a residence and her vehicle up the road in a ditch.

Allegheny Township: La Belle View road for a gas meter sheared off.

Allegheny Township: 1168 Hancock Avenue vehicle accident involving a pedestrian updated to negative injuries @ 13:37.

Harrison Township 5:45 pm – Police and fire dispatched to SR 908 near Alter Road for a vehicle into a tree. Sources reported the man was outside the vehicle walking around. Individual refused medical treatment.

Vandergrift @ 6:39 pm – Allegheny Road and Hancock Avenue for a vehicle into a pole with wires down, unknown injuries.
