Fox Chapel, Pa. – PSP Tpr. Mearkle said police are continuing to investigate the 4-vehicle crash that occurred Wednesday afternoon about 4:45 pm on State Route 28 Southbound lanes in O’Hara Township.
Tpr. Mearkle said the crash occurred when the operator of a 2014 International Truck Tractor was unable stop for stopped traffic and rear-ended a vehicle in front of him causing a chain reaction involving 2 other vehicles.
The state police report lists Arthur Well, age 69 of Mantee Mississippi as the operator of the truck who struck 29 year-old Zachary J. Wilkoski of Carnegie. Wiloski was transported from the scene with serious injuries.
The operators of a Mazda 3 and a Volkswagen Tiguan were not injured in the incident.
Both southbound lanes remained closed after midnight while police continued reconstruction of the crash.
