PITTSBURGH – County offices under the jurisdiction of the Executive Branch will be closed on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 as the primary election day is a county holiday, with a few exceptions including the Elections Division and Court Records.
Additionally, County Council’s offices and the Treasurer’s Office will be closed for the day.
The Courts and court-related offices, including the District Attorney’s Office, will be open during regular business hours. The Controller’s Office and Sheriff’s Office will be open as well, with the exception of the Real Estate Division in the Sheriff’s Office.
All offices will reopen for regular business hours on Wednesday, May 17, 2017.
The Elections Division reminds residents who intend to vote in the Primary Election that they may verify their registration and look up their polling place online at the county’s “On Election Day” webpage. Sample ballots are also available on the site. With the exception of Mt. Lebanon which has a ballot question, only voters registered as a Democratic or Republican may vote in the primary election.
