Sarver man sustains injuries from motorcycle crash in Natrona Heights

Natrona Heights, Pa. – Harrison Township Police responded to a vehicle vs. motorcycle crash in front of Highlands Middle School about 9:10 pm Thursday night.

Harrison Township Law Enforcement Officer Ken Hanzlik said the Tarentum driver of the Jeep Patriot was traveling Southbound on Freeport Road approaching Argonne Drive and was attempting to make a left turn onto Argonne when the incident occurred. The Harley Davidson motorcycle operator was traveling Northbound on Freeport road and collided with the Jeep striking the passenger rear door and left rear wheel area. Damages to the motorcycle and the Jeep were moderate to severe.

Sources on scene said the motorcycle operator sustained moderate to severe arm, hip, and leg injuries and was transported to Allegheny General Hospital. Officer Hanzlik said the cause of the crash remains under investigation.

Assisting Harrison Township PD was Brackenridge Police, Citizen’s Hose EMS and Citizen’s Hose firefighters. The roadway was blocked for a little more than 45 minutes as wreckers were called to the scene. Fire crews removed crash debris from the roadway and controlled traffic as the scene was processed by police.
