Sarver man escapes injury after multiple rollover on expressway Southbound 28

East Deer Township, Pa. – Icy roadways on SR 28 Allegheny Valley Expressway contributes to a single-vehicle crash after a Sarver man loses control of his pickup truck and crashes through a guardrail rolling the Chevy pickup truck @ 11:30 pm Saturday night.

AKVNEWS.COM spoke with the male driver who said he was traveling South approaching the East Deer line in the left lane of travel when he lost control on the slippery roadway and crashed through the guardrail, rolling the vehicle about 8 times. The driver appeared to be quite shaken from the incident calling is girlfriend stating he was in a serious crash.

The man was not ejected from the vehicle and did not appear to sustain any injury from the severe rollover. East Deer fire crews on scene waited for tow crews to arrive and pull the vehicle back up the side of the roadway and back through to the berm where he plowed the guiderails over.

Assisting at the scene was the Pennsylvania State Police, Tarentum EMS and East Deer firefighters. Traffic was slowed through the area for about an hour until the pickup truck could be loaded on a flatbed. The truck sustained heavy damage.
