Relative of suspect in New Kensington officer’s death faces 3 felony charges

New Kensington, Pa. – An Arnold woman who had previously been described as a person of interest during the police investigation of New Kensington Police Officer Brian Shaw’s death has been arrested and charged with 3 felony counts relating to hindering apprehension.

Lisa Danea Harrington, age 31 of Arnold was arraigned Thursday evening by Magisterial District Justice Frank Pallone Jr. Harrington faces charges of F3 Hinder App/Prosec-Harbor Or Conceal 11/17/2017, F3 Hinder App/Prosec-Provide Aid and 11/17/2017 F3 Hinder App/Prosec-False Info To Leo. According to the online docket, the offense date is listed as 11/17/2017, the same date Officer Brian Shaw was shot while on a traffic stop on Leishman Avenue in New Kensington.

A Preliminary Hearing is scheduled on 12/14/2017 @ 11:15 am before the Honorable Magisterial District Judge Frank J. Pallone Jr.

Harrington is being held in the Westmoreland County Prison on $75,000 bail.
