One man injured after crash in Washington Township

Washington Township, Pa. – Police and fire crews in Washington Township responded to a 2-vehicle crash on SR 66 & Walker Road on Monday afternoon leaving one man sustaining a knee injury.

According to radio transmissions, the crash occurred after a dump truck and a tractor-trailer collided near the intersection of Walker Road. Fire crews were requested to pop a door enabling the injured man to be removed from his vehicle. Long skid marks on the highway were evidenced and radio reports indicated one vehicle with heavy front end damages.

Fire crews put down oil dry in the Southbound lanes while police processed the crash scene. Traffic through the crash scene was slowed and stopped while firefighters cleared road debris and fluids.

It was not immediately known if the man was transported to the hospital.
