One injured in crash Saturday night in New Kensington

New Kensington, Pa. – One person is injured in a crash near the Golden Dawn Saturday night after an occupant of the vehicle said they were cut off by another driver. The driver lost control and struck a utility pole on the opposite side of the roadway. Other sources at the scene said there were no other vehicles in the area at the time of the wreck.

One person was treated at the scene for minor head injuries. It was not immediately known if that individual was transported to the hospital. Freeport Road was shut down for approximately 45 minutes while police processed the scene and Hawk Towing removed the vehicle from the side of the roadway.

Damage to the PT Cruiser was severe.
