New Kensington, Pa. – No injuries to report after a woman from Lower Burrell loses control of her vehicle about 11:00 am Saturday morning.

Police on scene said the woman exited the parking of Walgreens on Craigdell Road when she drove up the sloped concrete wall and rolled the vehicle over on its driver side trapping her inside.

Fire crews from New Kensington-Lower Burrell neatly cut the windshield of the woman’s Pontiac SUV to gain access to her for initial medical evaluation. Crews then worked to extricate her from the rear of the vehicle without any rescue support backboard or collar. The woman emerged from the hatch of the vehicle and was helped to the bumper of a Lower Burrell EMS truck.

Several muscular firefighters assisted Hawk Towing of Arnold to put the vehicle back on all 4 wheels.

Assisting New Kensington Police Department was Lower Burrell Police, New Kensington Fire crews and Lower Burrell Fire Crews-EMS.
