NKPD investigate armed robbery in Parnassus

New Kensington, Pa. – Police in New Kensington are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at the Sunoco Gas Station/Convenience Store late Sunday evening shortly after 7:00 pm.

New Kensington Police Sgt. Kevin Hess said the actor had a knife and is described as a white male in his mid 20’s with a dark colored hoodie and jeans. Police searched several area businesses, mostly drug stores looking for the suspect. Police also scoured the streets behind the Sheetz store with negative results.

No photo was immediately available and the amount of cash taken remains undisclosed. Police units from Arnold and Plum assisted in the search.
