Motorcyclist flown from Valley High School after crash in Rite Aid parking lot

New Kensington, Pa. – A New Kensington man is seriously injured and flown from Valley High School after crashing his motorcycle in the parking lot of Rite Aid Pharmacy.

At the scene of the crash, the man was being tended to by paramedics with Life Flight being dispatched to the school parking. It appeared the operator of the bike was cutting through the parking lot of Festa Chiropractic headed towards the Rite-Aid when he struck a 5″ high concrete island separating the side of the store from the front.

A witness at the scene said he saw the bike flipping several times. The man landed approximately 30′ from the island. A medical helicopter landed at the school where medical crews loaded the man into the helicopter for transport to a Pittsburgh Hospital.

No other injuries were reported. Assisting at the scene was Murrysville Medic One, Eureka EMS, Lower Burrell EMS, New Kensington Police and EMS.
