Manhunt ends ; alleged attacker to face multiple Felony charges

New Kensington, Pa. – State Police in Venango County apprehended Jeremy Chambers Wednesday afternoon after a 4-day manhunt led police through several counties and ended peacefully in Barkeyville, Pa.

Authorities said Jeremy Chambers, age 36 is accused of ambushing his ex-girlfriend last Saturday morning in New Kensington as she was delivering newspapers. (see prior story) The victim had filed Protection From Abuse (PFA) against Chambers the night before the attack. Chambers had been released from jail a few days prior.

Chambers stole the victims Jeep and headed North to a residence in Venango county. Police said Chambers stole a dirt bike to elude capture, but was later located at a residence in Venango County after the homeowner called Pennsylvania State Police.

Chambers charges in Venango County: F2 Burglary – Not Adapted for Overnight Accommodation, No Person Present, F3 Theft By Unlaw Taking-Movable Prop, F3 Flight To Avoid Appreh/Trial/Punish, M1 Theft By Unlaw Taking-Movable Prop, M2 Criminal Mischief – Damage Property and M2 Fleeing or Attempting to Elude Officer. A Preliminary Hearing is scheduled for 08/15/2018 @ 8:30 in front of a Magisterial District Judge in Venango County Central Court – MDJ 28-0-00.

New Kensington Police Charges: F1 Kidnap To Inflict Inj/Terror 08/04/2018, F1 Aggravated Assault and F1 Robbery Of Motor Vehicle. A Preliminary Hearing is scheduled on 08/23/2018 @ 1:00 pm before the Honorable Magisterial District Judge Frank J. Pallone Jr.
