Lower Burrell, Pa. – Construction workers along Leechburg Road in Lower Burrell continue to make progress as milling machines take away large patches of pavement reinforcing the base of the roadway early Thursday morning.
Several minor road restrictions were down to one lane in a few areas from Craigdell Road to the Route 56 by-pass about 12:15 am Thursday morning. One local resident getting gas at the intersection of the old Montgomery Wards said the inconvenience hasn’t been all that bad late at night, but did make one minor complaint about the “beep-beep-beep” when construction equipment go into reverse gear.
The $5 million dollar project that began in July is expected to be completed by June 2018.
